Hayesville, A Town Worth Seeing
The Town of Hayesville has a historic courthouse, centennial exhibit, and a historic jail converted into a wonderful museum. It also has a beautiful town hall and a charming town square with interesting shops and many concerts and outdoor festivals.

Music and Theater
The historic and wonderful Peacock Playhouse provides regular music and theater performances, and local restaurants also have regular live music. During the summer months CCCRA hosts outdoor concerts on the historic Courthouse Square.

Hikers, mountain bikers and other bicyclists will find many places to enjoy in Clay County. From the world-class Jackrabbit Mountain Biking and Hiking Trail to Appalachian Trail hiking, campgrounds and boat ramps, and much more.

Arts & Crafts
The mountains and foothills of western North Carolina have been acknowledged for over a century as a vibrant center for hand-made craft. Kilns, glass furnaces, woodshops, studios and galleries dot the map here, representing traditional and contemporary handmade artistry.
